One of the most competitive matchups of week 3 pits the Euclid Panthers against the McKinley Bulldogs. The Panthers are projected to win by a score of 34-33 in what is essentially a toss-up game. McKinley, the 45th-ranked team in the state, host a fellow top-100 team this week as Euclid comes into the game ranked 32nd. As slight road favorites, the Panthers come in hoping to edge out the Bulldogs on their home field. A new matchup on the schedule for each team, Friday's game is a chance for each to test its skills and strategies against an unfamiliar opponent. Stylistically and schematically, past matchups are often used as a guiding tool. This week, however, each team will likely take time to adjust to an unfamiliar opponent, which should make for some added excitement.

After a playoff appearance in 2018, Euclid's playoff chances aren't looking quite as good as they did towards the end of last season. Coming into the week with a 2-0 record, they are projected to finish the year 9th in the region with a record of 5-5. The strength of the team comes on the offensive side of the ball, where they rank 3rd in Division 1 with 46 points per game. On defense, they rank 55th in the division, giving up 29.5 points per game.

McKinley comes into the game 2-0 after their 41-20 win against the Buchtel Griffins last week. They are projected to finish the season 8th in the regional playoff standings, which puts them towards the top of the playoff bubble. They score an average of 36.5 points per game, which ranks 14th in Division 1. Defensively, they allow 23.5 points per game, ranking 43rd in the division.

Prediction: Euclid to win (67.92% chance of victory)
