Friday's matchup between the Hicksville Aces and the Wayne Trace Raiders takes place between two teams that most likely will not make the playoffs. The Aces come into the week projected to finish 14th in the Region 23 playoff standings. The Raiders are projected to finish 16th in Region 23. Wayne Trace comes in as a 8-point favorite as each team fights to close out the regular season strong. Hicksville hopes to mount an effort on Friday that will prove that they are, indeed, the better of the two. One of the more familiar matchups of week 10, both teams know what to expect. Hicksville will hope to continue the recent trend, in which they've won 4 of the last 5 matchups. In last year's installment, the Aces came out on top by a score of 29-26.

Hicksville comes into the game on a 2-game winning streak. After last week's 56-16 win against the Antwerp Archers, they are 5-4 and look to continue the positive momentum. While the Aces haven't been the most high-powered offense throughout the season, they have been improving week to week. In the last 2 weeks, they've averaged 38.5, up from their season average of 29.3, which ranks 34th in Division 6. They rank similarly on defense, coming in at 74th in their division, allowing 29.3 points per game. That number has generally gone up in recent weeks as they've given up an average of 15 points in their last 2 games.

Wayne Trace looks to rebound after a 62-25 loss against the Edgerton Bulldogs last week, which brought their record to 4-5. While the Raiders haven't been the most high-powered offense throughout the season, they have been improving week to week. In the last 2 weeks, they've averaged 39.5, up from their season average of 26.4, which ranks 45th in Division 6. They've played at a simiar level on defense, ranking 71st in their division, giving up 29.1 points per game. Over their last 6 games, however, they have made progress, giving up an average of 25.33 points per game.

Prediction: Wayne Trace to win (53.81% chance of victory)
