As we reach the end of the season, teams that still have reasonable chances are jockeying for playoff positioning. For the home team in this matchup, the Turpin Spartans, anything but a playoff bid would be a disappointment. They come into the week projected to finish 2nd in the Region 8 playoff standings. For the visiting Milford Eagles, it's a battle to stay in contention. They are currently expected to finish the season 3-7, which would put them around 14th in Region 4. The Spartans are the favorites on Friday, projected to win the game by a score of 42-17. Turpin looks to be the superior team on paper, coming into the game ranked 49th in the state while the Eagles rank 282nd in the state and 52nd in Division 1. The Spartans come into the week expecting the home victory, which is the most probable outcome. However, the upset-minded Eagles will come in looking to prove preconceived notions wrong. One of the more familiar matchups of week 10, both teams know what to expect. Turpin will hope to continue the recent trend, in which they've won 3 of the last 5 matchups. In 2018's matchup, the Eagles came away with a 33-7 victory.

Milford looks to get back on track this week as they come in on a 4-game losing streak. They are currently 3-6 after a 20-10 loss against the West Clermont Wolves last week. The Eagles offense hasn't been particularly great this season in terms of point production, a trend which continues into recent weeks. Over their last 2 games, they've scored an average of 8.5 points - this season they've averaged 19.3, which ranks 51st in Division 1. Defensively, giving up 29.4 points per game, they rank 56th in the division.

Turpin is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 9-game winning streak, including last week's 59-13 win against the Withrow Tigers. That brings their record to 9-0 as they look to add another notch to the win column. Scoring an average of 42.2 points per game on offense, the Spartans rank 4th in Division 2. They've been even more dominant in recent weeks, scoring an average of 45.33 over their last 3 games. While recent games have affected averages negatively, their defense is one of the best as well. They rank 16th in their division, giving up an average of 14.7 points per game.

Prediction: Turpin to win (99.77% chance of victory)
