Typically, the first two rounds consist largely of vastly superior teams beating up on other teams in their region that just so happened to get in with enough playoff points. This likely will not be one of those matchups as the Aurora Greenmen head into Saturday projected to beat the New Philadelphia Quakers by a score of 26-21. It's do or die for each team as always in the postseason. Regardless of the outcome, each team can take comfort in the fact that they had a successful enough season to get here, but only one team will be satisfied with the result as the other's season will end on a loss. The Greenmen, one of the top teams in Division 3, come into the game ranked 3rd. The Quakers come in ranked 14th. A new matchup on the schedule for each team, Saturday's game is a chance for each to test its skills and strategies against an unfamiliar opponent. Strategically, this might lead to complications that could throw off the gameplan of either team.

Aurora comes into the game on a 11-game winning streak. After last week's 27-21 win against the Steubenville Big Red, they are 11-0 and look to continue the positive momentum. The Greenmen offense has been one of the best in the division, especially in recent weeks. For the year, they rank 22nd in Division 3 with 32.8 points per game. Over the last 7 weeks, they've scored an average of 32.8. While recent games have affected averages negatively, their defense is one of the best as well. They rank 1st in their division, giving up an average of 6.2 points per game.

New Philadelphia will be looking to put together a win streak coming off of a 31-28 win over the Kenston Bombers last week, which brings their record to 10-1. In recent weeks, the Quakers haven't been quite as explosive on offense but they remain the 5th-ranked offense in Division 3, scoring an average of 40.2 points per game. On defense, their last few weeks haven't even done justice to how good they've been all season. They've given up 31 points per game over their last 2, down from their average of 14.1, which ranks 18th in their division on the season.

Prediction: Aurora to win (69.38% chance of victory)
