The Garfield Heights Bulldogs enters the second round of this year's postseason with a major challenge as the Hoban Knights come into the game projected to win by a score of 43-16. It's do or die for each team as always in the postseason. Regardless of the outcome, each team can take comfort in the fact that they had a successful enough season to get here, but only one team will be satisfied with the result as the other's season will end on a loss. The Bulldogs, one of the top teams in Division 2, come into the game ranked 21st. The Knights come in ranked 1st. A new matchup on the schedule for each team, Saturday's game is a chance for each to test its skills and strategies against an unfamiliar opponent. Usually, matchups from the previous year are used in developing a strategy for upcoming games. For these two, no such opportunity will be afforded.

Looking to build upon their 11-game winning streak, Garfield Heights comes into the week at 11-0. After their 42-25 win against the Warren G Harding Raiders, they are confident in their ability to finish strong. The Bulldogs offense has been one of the best in the division, especially in recent weeks. For the year, they rank 11th in Division 2 with 38.3 points per game. Over the last 3 weeks, they've scored an average of 38.3. While recent games have affected averages negatively, their defense is one of the best as well. They rank 5th in their division, giving up an average of 9.5 points per game.

Hoban is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 11-game winning streak, including last week's 49-0 win against the Mayfield Wildcats. That brings their record to 11-0 as they look to add another notch to the win column. On offense, the Knights have been one of the best in the state this season, ranking 19th with 44.5 points per game. Recent weeks haven't been quite as explosive as they've averaged 40 points per game but they remain one of the most explosive offenses statewide. Nevertheless, the defense could actually be the true strength of the team, which they've shown in their most recent contests. Over the last 2 games, they've allowed only 0 points per game. However, success on defense isn't just a recent trend - on the season, their defense ranks 7th in their division, allowing 10.6 points per game.

Prediction: Hoban to win (99.99% chance of victory)
