Friday's matchup between the Edison Chargers and the Port Clinton Redskins takes place between two teams that most likely will not make the playoffs. The Chargers come into the week projected to finish 15th in the Region 14 playoff standings. The Redskins are projected to finish 16th in Region 14. Edison comes in as a 1-point favorite as each team fights to close out the regular season strong. A major challenge on the schedule for both teams, this looks to be one of the more competitive games of the week. The teams are no strangers to one another, playing against each other in each of the last five years. Over their last 5 matchups, the Chargers have been superior, coming out on top in 3 of them. However, the past won't matter come kickoff. In last year's installment, the Redskins came out on top by a score of 28-14.

After their 35-8 win against the Woodward Polar Bears last week, Edison is 3-2 and looks to finish the season strong. Thus far, they haven't been particularly strong in terms of scoring on either side of the ball. Their offense ranks 38th in Division 4, scoring an average of 27 points per game. On defense, giving up 27.6 points per game, they rank 68th in the division.

For Port Clinton, Friday is a chance to expand on a 2-game winning streak after their 49-40 win against the Villa-Angela St. Joseph Vikings brought their record to 2-3. Neither side of the ball has been particularly strong for the Redskins. Their offense scores an average of 23.6 points per game and their defense allows an average of 30.4 points per game, ranking 49th and 73rd in Division 4 respectively.

Prediction: Edison to win (69.25% chance of victory)
