The Fairview Warriors come into Friday projected to finish the season 3-7 at 18th in Region 18. They host the Holy Name Green Wave, who are currently expected to make the playoffs at 6th in Region 10. Holy Name have the edge on paper, entering the game as a 23-point favorite. However, the battle for a postseason bid can only be decided on the field. The Green Wave expect a road victory on Friday and have a solid chance of getting one. A new matchup on the schedule for each team, Friday's game is a chance for each to test its skills and strategies against an unfamiliar opponent. Usually, matchups from the previous year are used in developing a strategy for upcoming games. For these two, no such opportunity will be afforded.

Holy Name is 7-2 after their 42-37 win against the Valley Forge Patriots last week. This week, they look to build on that victory on the way to what they hope will be a strong finish to the season. The Green Wave rank 23rd in Division 3 on offense, scoring an average of 33.6. However, over the last 4 weeks, their average is down to 29 points per game. While recent games have affected averages negatively, their defense is one of the best as well. They rank 22nd in their division, giving up an average of 15.4 points per game.

Fairview will be looking to put together a win streak coming off of a 38-20 win over the John Marshall Lawyers last week, which brings their record to 3-6. While the Warriors offense has not been particularly great, ranked 64th in Division 5 with 23.3 points per game, they have improved in recent weeks, averaging 28.67 points over their last 3 contests. On the opposite side of the ball, they rank 89th in the division, allowing 33.9 points per game.

Prediction: Holy Name to win (99.06% chance of victory)
