The Midview Middies and the Westlake Demons meet on Friday for what could be an important matchup - while both currently have less than a 50% chance of making the playoffs, every win counts at the end of the season. The Middies are expected to finish 5-5, good for 14th in Region 6. The Demons are projected to finish 25th in Region 6 at 0-10. Midview will be the favorite, projected to come out on top by a score of 34-18. The Middies travel to the home field of the Demons expecting a win. However, the Demons will pay little attention to pregame predictions as they look to defend their home field. There is a certain degree of familiarity between the two teams after they faced off last season. In 2018, the Middies defeated the Demons by a score of 42-28.

Midview has dropped each of their most recent 2 games and will look to reverse the negative momentum on Friday. They are currently 4-5 and come off of a 28-20 loss against the Berea-Midpark Titans. The Middies offense hasn't been particularly great this season in terms of point production, a trend which continues into recent weeks. Over their last 2 games, they've scored an average of 10 points - this season they've averaged 21.1, which ranks 62nd in Division 2. On defense, they rank 72nd in the division, giving up 28.8 points per game.

For Westlake, this week is a chance to flip the momentum after 9 consecutive losses. Last week was a 56-43 loss against the Lakewood Rangers and they'll look to rebound strong on Friday. While the Demons haven't been the most high-powered offense throughout the season, they have been improving week to week. In the last 2 weeks, they've averaged 21.5, up from their season average of 13, which ranks 96th in Division 2. Defensively, giving up 49.3 points per game, they rank 105th in the division.

Prediction: Midview to win (98.12% chance of victory)
