Anything can happen in the playoffs. This is why the Liberty-Benton Eagles come into the first round expecting a victory over the Eastwood Eagles, despite the fact the Eagles are projected to win the game by a score of 34-18. The playoffs are the best time of the year but also come with a great deal of drama as many powerhouses will even see their seasons cut short. Each week, it's do or die and, after this week is complete, half of the current playoff teams will be eliminated. Liberty-Benton comes in as Division 5's 26th-ranked team. Eastwood comes in ranked 3rd. A new game on the schedule for both teams, it should shape out as an unpredictable affair. Strategically, this might lead to complications that could throw off the gameplan of either team.

Looking to build upon their 8-game winning streak, Liberty-Benton comes into the week at 9-1. After their 52-35 win against the McComb Panthers, they are confident in their ability to finish strong. The Eagles offense has been one of the best in the division, especially in recent weeks. For the year, they rank 18th in Division 5 with 37.6 points per game. Over the last 2 weeks, they've scored an average of 37.6. On defense, they've been just as strong. Allowing just 14.6 points per game over the course of the season, their defense ranks 12th in their division. Over the last 7 weeks, they've been even more proficient, giving up just 10 points per game.

Eastwood is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 10-game winning streak, including last week's 35-33 win against the Rossford Bulldogs. That brings their record to 10-0 as they look to add another notch to the win column. In recent weeks, the Eagles haven't been quite as explosive on offense but they remain the 14th-ranked offense in Division 5, scoring an average of 39.5 points per game. While recent games have affected averages negatively, their defense is one of the best as well. They rank 9th in their division, giving up an average of 12.3 points per game.

Prediction: Eastwood to win (99.12% chance of victory)
