The Arcadia Redskins will open up the year on Friday with what looks to be one of the most competitive matchups of the week. They go up against the Hardin Northern Polar Bears, who come into the game as a stingy 3-point favorite. A major challenge on the schedule for both teams, this looks to be one of the more competitive games of the week. There is a certain degree of familiarity between the two teams after they faced off last season. In 2017, the Polar Bears defeated the Redskins by a score of 50 - 35.

Hardin Northern, projected to finish the season at 3-7 amd 16th in the region. While crazier things have happened, a run at the postseason would in all likelihood require a win this week. The Polar Bears are projected to finish the regular season with a record of 3-7. In 2018, they'll be looking to improve on both sides of the ball. Last season, the Polar Bears offense ranked 54th in Division 7 scoring an average of 22.1 points per game while their defense, allowing 44.7 points per game, ranked 44.7.

Arcadia comes into the week without much of a chance of making the postseason. However, it is early and only time can tell. They are projected to finish the season with a 1-9 and hope to make Friday the first step toward exceeding that projection. In 2018, the Redskins will look to improve offensively and defensively. Last season, their offense ranked 79th in Division 7 scoring an average of 15.6 points per game while their defense, allowing 44.4 points per game, ranked 44.4

Prediction: Hardin Northern to win (61.36% chance of victory)
