One of the most highly anticipated matchups of the regional finals comes between the Carey Blue Devils and the East Knox Bulldogs, the Blue Devils projected to win by a score of 33-29. The playoffs are the best time of the year but also come with a great deal of drama as many powerhouses will even see their seasons cut short. Each week, it's do or die and, after this week is complete, half of the current playoff teams will be eliminated. East Knox comes in as Division 6's 22nd-ranked team. Carey comes in ranked 42nd. A new game on the schedule for both teams, it should shape out as an unpredictable affair. Usually, matchups from the previous year are used in developing a strategy for upcoming games. For these two, no such opportunity will be afforded.

East Knox comes into the game on a 12-game winning streak. After last week's 21-20 win against the Seneca East Tigers, they are 12-0 and look to continue the positive momentum. The Bulldogs have been excellent on offense all season, scoring 43.2 points per game, which ranks 16th in the state. In recent weeks, they've cooled off a little, scoring 21 points per game in their last 2 games. On defense, their last few weeks haven't even done justice to how good they've been all season. They've given up 20 points per game over their last 2, down from their average of 11.3, which ranks 4th in their division on the season.

For Carey, Saturday is a chance to expand on a 4-game winning streak after their 7-0 win against the Hillsdale Falcons brought their record to 7-5. While the Blue Devils haven't been the most high-powered offense throughout the season, they have been improving week to week. In the last 4 weeks, they've averaged 31.75, up from their season average of 22.3, which ranks 68th in Division 6. On the opposite side of the ball, they rank 29th in the division, allowing 19.2 points per game.

Prediction: Carey to win (75.42% chance of victory)
