In their third game of the 2018 playoffs, the Anderson Redskins will play at home in the regional finals against the Troy Trojans in what looks to be one of the most competitive matchups of the season. The Redskins come into the game as 2-point favorites, projected to come away with the victory by a score of 32-30. The playoffs are the best time of the year but also come with a great deal of drama as many powerhouses will even see their seasons cut short. Each week, it's do or die and, after this week is complete, half of the current playoff teams will be eliminated. The Trojans, one of the top teams in Division 2, come into the game ranked 18th. The Redskins come in ranked 23rd. Having matched up in 2017, there is a degree of familiarity between the two. Last year, the Redskins got the better of the Trojans, winning by a score of 33-0.

Troy comes into the game on a 6-game winning streak. After last week's 48-7 win against the Harrison Wildcats, they are 10-1 and look to continue the positive momentum. The Trojans offense is the 20th-ranked offense in Division 2, scoring an average of 34.9 points per game over the course of the season. In their last 2 games, however, they've cooled off, averaging 27.5 points per game. On defense, they've been just as strong. Allowing just 10.7 points per game over the course of the season, their defense ranks 8th in their division. Over the last 2 weeks, they've been even more proficient, giving up just 6.5 points per game.

Anderson is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 2-game winning streak, including last week's 42-35 win against the Kings Knights. That brings their record to 8-3 as they look to add another notch to the win column. While the Redskins offense has not been particularly great, ranked 27th in Division 2 with 33.6 points per game, they have improved in recent weeks, averaging 39 points over their last 2 contests. On defense, they rank 61st in the division, giving up 26.1 points per game.

Prediction: Anderson to win (70.31% chance of victory)
