For the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats, week 4 brings a matchup that will likely come down to the wire against the Olentangy Liberty Patriots. Coming into the game as a slight 4-point favorite, the Wildcats will look to prove they are the better team beyond any statistical comparisons. The Wildcats come into the game as the 16th-ranked team in the state but will face one of the toughest matchups on their schedule as they host the 14th-ranked team in the state. For the Wildcats, a hard-fought home victory would definitely be a momentum boost. However, the Patriots come in expecting to steal one on the road and the momentum along with it. The teams are no strangers to one another, playing against each other in each of the last five years. Over their last 5 matchups, the Patriots have been superior, coming out on top in 3 of them. However, the past won't matter come kickoff. In the most recent season's matchup, the Wildcats proved superior, winning 22-21.

The Patriots are well on their way to a repeat playoff appearance, coming into the week projected as the region's 4th best team. Last week's 35-0 win against the Glenville Tarblooders brings their record to 3-0. They are projected to finish the season 8-2, which should give them a chance to make a deep run in the postseason. On defense, the strength of the team, they rank 10th in Division 1, giving up 9.7 points per game. Offensively, scoring 28.3 points per game, they rank 33rd.

Hilliard Davidson, after a playoff appearance last season, is poised to make another run in 2019. They enter the game projected to finish the season 8-2, which should be good for 4th in the regional playoff standings. On defense, the strength of the team thus far, they rank 5th in Division 1, allowing an average of 7.7 points per game. Offensively, their average of 24.7 ranks 38th in their division.

Prediction: Hilliard Davidson to win (76.99% chance of victory)
