In the first matchup of the 2019 playoffs, the Minster will play at home against the Anna Rockets in what looks to be one of the most competitive matchups of the season. The Rockets come into the game as 3-point favorites, projected to come away with the victory by a score of 31-28. The playoffs are the best time of the year but also come with a great deal of drama as many powerhouses will even see their seasons cut short. Each week, it's do or die and, after this week is complete, half of the current playoff teams will be eliminated. The Rockets rank 7th in the division while the Wildcats rank 4th. The teams did not appear on each other's schedules last season, which presents a degree of unpredictability. Stylistically and schematically, past matchups are often used as a guiding tool. This week, however, each team will likely take time to adjust to an unfamiliar opponent, which should make for some added excitement.

Looking to build upon their 5-game winning streak, Anna comes into the week at 9-1. After their 56-7 win against the St. John's Blue Jays, they are confident in their ability to finish strong. The Rockets boasts one of the most high-powered offenses in the state and has been even stronger in their most recent contests. Scoring an average of 45.3 points per game, their offense ranks 16th in the state. Over their last 2 games, they've been even more impressive, scoring an average of 52.5 points per game. While recent games have affected averages negatively, their defense is one of the best as well. They rank 11th in their division, giving up an average of 12.3 points per game.

Minster will look to continue the momentum of their 6-game winning streak, the most recent addition to which was a 42-2 win against the New Bremen Cardinals last week, bringing their record to 9-1. While the Wildcats haven't been the most high-powered offense throughout the season, they have been improving week to week. In the last 2 weeks, they've averaged 42, up from their season average of 34.7, which ranks 27th in Division 6. While the defense hasn't been much better, they have improved lately - while they average 16.4 points allowed per game, which ranks 22nd in their division, they've taken that average down to 11 points over the last 2 weeks.

Prediction: Anna to win (89.91% chance of victory)
