Week 6 is a chance for the Mentor Cardinals to expand their already-solid playoff chances. They come into Friday with a 74.27% chance of making the postseason. They host the Medina Bees, who currently have a 0.44% chance at the playoffs. While the Cardinals has a chance to increase their chances to 74.27%, the Bees can increase theirs to 9.98%. Mentor have the edge on paper, entering the game as a 29-point favorite. However, the battle for a postseason bid can only be decided on the field. The Cardinals rank 4th in the state while the Bees rank 118th in the state and 52nd in Division 1. Medina comes into the game looking for a major upset while Mentor looks to do what their fans are expecting from them. A rematch from their game last season, this matchup will be a good gauge on how each team has improved or regressed. Last season, the Cardinals beat the Bees 35 - 32.

Medina is 2-3 after their 36 - 22 win against the Shaker Heights Raiders last week. This week, they look to build on that victory on the way to what they hope will be a strong finish to the season. So far this season, they've been lacking statistically on both sides of the ball. In Division 1, they rank 61st on offense, scoring an average of 16 points per game - on defense, they rank 57th, giving up an average of 29.8.

Mentor is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 3-game winning streak, including last week's 62 - 0 win against the Brunswick Blue Devils. That brings their record to 4-1 as they look to add another notch to the win column. The Cardinals offense is their more dominant side of the ball, where they rank 22nd in the state with 44.4 points per game. On defense, ranked 236th, they allow an average of 19.4 points per game.

Prediction: Mentor to win (97.48% chance of victory)
