The biggest game of the entire year for 6 is finally here. The Kirtland Hornets take on the Marion Local Flyers in what will likely be a heated battle as the Flyers come into the game projected to pull out the close win by a score of 26-20. It's do or die for each team as always in the postseason. Regardless of the outcome, each team can take comfort in the fact that they had a successful enough season to get here, but only one team will be satisfied with the result as the other's season will end on a loss. The Flyers, one of the top teams in Division 6, come into the game ranked 1st. The Hornets come in ranked 2nd. Having matched up in 2017, there is a degree of familiarity between the two. Last year, the Flyers got the better of the Hornets, winning by a score of 34-11.

Looking to build upon their 4-game winning streak, Marion Local comes into the week at 13-1. After their 34-6 win against the Seneca East Tigers, they are confident in their ability to finish strong. The Flyers have boasted one of Division 6's best offenses all season, averaging 39.1 points per game, which ranks 7th. In their last 4 games, they've been even better, scoring 40.5 points per game. On defense, their last few weeks haven't even done justice to how good they've been all season. They've given up 15 points per game over their last 5, down from their average of 11.2, which ranks 8th in their division on the season.

Kirtland will look to continue the momentum of their 14-game winning streak, the most recent addition to which was a 35-18 win against the Fort Frye Cadets last week, bringing their record to 14-0. The Hornets rank 6th in Division 6 on offense, scoring an average of 39.9. However, over the last 2 weeks, their average is down to 27.5 points per game. On defense, their last few weeks haven't even done justice to how good they've been all season. They've given up 16 points per game over their last 2, down from their average of 4.6, which ranks 1st in their division on the season.

Prediction: Marion Local to win (76.48% chance of victory)
