The Scott Bulldogs are heading into a week 2 matchup in which they're projected to win by a score of 34-21 over the Fostoria Redmen. While they go into Friday with a 93.88% chance of victory, the game isn't played on paper and the Bulldogs will need to earn it on the field. The Redmen come into the game with little regard for pregame statistical breakdowns - while the Bulldogs believe they are the superior team, the road team will not consider it an upset if they come away with the victory. There is a certain degree of familiarity between the two teams after they faced off last season. In 2018, the Bulldogs defeated the Redmen by a score of 45-13.

For Fostoria, each game is an opportunity to develop and improve. Projected as the 27th-ranked team in the region come the end of the season, the Redmen look to use this opportunity to defy expectations. They enter the game with a projected regular season record of 0-10 but, with so much time remaining in the season, there's still a chance to greatly exceed those expectations. As 0-point underdogs against the Oak Harbor Rockets last week, the Redmen ended up with their first loss of the season. They will need to improve on both sides of the ball as their offense ranked 74th and their defense ranked 96th for the opening week.

For Scott, while it is early in the season, playoffs would be a bit of a stretch. Projected to finish the regular season with a 2-8 record, they come into this week expected to finish the season as the 24th-ranked team in the regional playoff standings. As 0-point underdogs against the Clearview Clippers last week, the Bulldogs ended up with their first loss of the season. They will need to improve on both sides of the ball as their offense ranked 46th and their defense ranked 99th for the opening week.

Prediction: Scott to win (93.88% chance of victory)
