Friday's matchup between the Huron Tigers and the Vermilion Sailors takes place between two teams that most likely will not make the playoffs. The Tigers come into the week projected to finish 10th in the Region 14 playoff standings. The Sailors are projected to finish 27th in Region 14. Huron comes in as a 35-point favorite as each team fights to close out the regular season strong. The Tigers rank 23rd in Division 4 while the Sailors rank 101st in Division 4. Huron will look to go on the road and humiliate the Vermilion Sailors in their own back yard. A rematch from their game last season, this matchup will be a good gauge on how each team has improved or regressed. In 2018, the Tigers defeated the Sailors by a score of 31-7.

Last week, Huron dropped a game 42-10 against the Oak Harbor Rockets. They'll look to get in the win column this week as they hope to finish out the season on a positive note. In recent weeks, the Tigers haven't been quite as successful producing points but they remain the 25th-ranked offense in Division 4, scoring an average of 31.9 points per game. Their defense allows an average of 17.4 points per game, which ranks 32nd in their division.

For Vermilion, this week is a chance to flip the momentum after 7 consecutive losses. Last week was a 41-0 loss against the Port Clinton Redskins and they'll look to rebound strong on Friday. The Sailors offense hasn't been particularly great this season in terms of point production, a trend which continues into recent weeks. Over their last 2 games, they've scored an average of 0 points - this season they've averaged 5, which ranks 105th in Division 4. On the opposite side of the ball, they rank 95th in the division, allowing 38.7 points per game.

Prediction: Huron to win (99.95% chance of victory)
