Week 10 is a chance for the Reynoldsburg Raiders to expand their already-solid playoff chances. They come into Friday projected to finish 7th in Region 3. They host the Lancaster Golden Gales, currently projected to finish 15th in Region 3. Reynoldsburg has the edge on paper, entering the game as a 7-point favorite. However, the battle for a postseason bid can only be decided on the field. Reynoldsburg looks to be the superior team on paper, coming into the game ranked 55th in the state while the Golden Gales rank 220th in the state and 46th in Division 1. For the Raiders, a hard-fought home victory would definitely be a momentum boost. However, the Golden Gales come in expecting to steal one on the road and the momentum along with it. One of the more familiar matchups of week 10, both teams know what to expect. Reynoldsburg will hope to continue the recent trend, in which they've won 3 of the last 5 matchups. In last year's installment, the Raiders came out on top by a score of 28-7.

Lancaster comes into the game on a 3-game losing streak, which they hope to put to an end on Friday. Their 42-14 loss against the Pickerington North Panthers last week brings their record to 2-6. The Golden Gales offense hasn't been particularly great this season in terms of point production, a trend which continues into recent weeks. Over their last 3 games, they've scored an average of 13 points - this season they've averaged 19.3, which ranks 51st in Division 1. On the opposite side of the ball, they rank 43rd in the division, allowing 23.6 points per game.

Looking to rebound from a 40-14 loss against the Pickerington Central Tigers last week, Reynoldsburg will try to establish momentum early and sustain it throughout. Particularly in recent weeks, the Raiders offense has struggled to put points on the board. In their last 4 games, they've put up an average of 23.25 points per game. Throughout the course of the season, they've averaged 27.7, which ranks 28th in Division 1. The defense hasn't been much better statistically, giving up an average of 16.1 points per game, which ranks 18th in their division.

Prediction: Reynoldsburg to win (99.15% chance of victory)
