This week's matchup between the Wyoming Cowboys and the Clyde Fliers should be one of the more competitive of the state semifinals, the Cowboys entering the week projected to win by a score of 26-22. The playoffs are the best time of the year but also come with a great deal of drama as many powerhouses will even see their seasons cut short. Each week, it's do or die and, after this week is complete, half of the current playoff teams will be eliminated. Clyde comes in as Division 4's 10th-ranked team. Wyoming comes in ranked 1st. A new game on the schedule for both teams, it should shape out as an unpredictable affair. Usually, matchups from the previous year are used in developing a strategy for upcoming games. For these two, no such opportunity will be afforded.

Clyde is currently on a 4-game winning streak, which they hope to continue on Sunday. Coming off of a 17-10 win against the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans, they are 9-4 and their confidence continues to build as they finish up the year. The Fliers offense is the 16th-ranked offense in Division 4, scoring an average of 33.5 points per game over the course of the season. In their last 2 games, however, they've cooled off, averaging 26 points per game. Their defense ranks 40th in their division allowing an average of 21.4 points per game, but they have shown improvement in recent weeks - in their last 2 games, they've given up an average of 15.5 points.

For Wyoming, Sunday is a chance to expand on a 13-game winning streak after their 33-0 win against the Valley View Spartans brought their record to 13-0. The Cowboys offense is the 10th-ranked offense in Division 4, scoring an average of 35.5 points per game over the course of the season. In their last 2 games, however, they haven't been quite as explosive as they've averaged 30 points per game. While recent games have affected averages negatively, their defense is one of the best as well. They rank 1st in their division, giving up an average of 5.6 points per game.

Prediction: Wyoming to win (99.95% chance of victory)
