The first round matchup between the Bishop Fenwick Falcons and the Chaminade Julienne Eagles should be one of the more exciting matchups of the week. The Falcons come into the week projected to win by a score of 32-20. The playoffs are an interesting time of year as 7 teams fulfill their most ambitious goal in winning a state championship while the other 217 playoff teams will end their season with a loss. This matchup is no different as the winner will continue their playoff run while the loser will end its 2018 season with a loss. The Eagles rank 25th in the division while the Falcons rank 11th. A rematch from earlier in the season, look for this to be one of the more emotional battles of the week. In the regular season, the Falcons won 34-19 so the Eagles will be looking for revenge. Last season, they played as well, the Eagles beating the Falcons 14-2.

Chaminade Julienne looks to get back on track this week as they come in on a 2-game losing streak. They are currently 7-3 after a 35-3 loss against the Archbishop Alter Knights last week. In recent weeks, the Eagles haven't been quite as successful producing points but they remain the 16th-ranked offense in Division 3, scoring an average of 33.8 points per game. Their defense gives up an average of 23.6 points per game, ranking 65th in their division.

Bishop Fenwick is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 5-game winning streak, including last week's 42-41 win against the Carroll Patriots. That brings their record to 8-2 as they look to add another notch to the win column. The Falcons offense is one of the most high-powered in their division, particularly in recent weeks. For the year, they rank 18th in Division 3 with 33.2 points per game. Over the last 5 weeks, they've scored an average of 33.2. On defense, they rank 59th in their division, giving up an average of 22.5 points per game.

Prediction: Bishop Fenwick to win (92.11% chance of victory)
