In their third game of the 2018 playoffs, the Coldwater Cavaliers will play at home against the Marion Local Flyers in what looks to be one of the most competitive regional final matchups for this season. The Flyers come into the game as 3-point favorites, projected to come away with the victory by a score of 22-19. The playoffs are the best time of the year but also come with a great deal of drama as many powerhouses will even see their seasons cut short. Each week, it's do or die and, after this week is complete, half of the current playoff teams will be eliminated. The Flyers rank 1st in the division while the Cavaliers rank 3rd. This is a chance for the Flyers to avenge a loss from earlier on in the regular season, when the Cavaliers beat them 26-20. We'll see if one team can take a 3-1 advantage over the last two years after two matchups last season were split, the Flyers coming away with the victory by a score of 13-7. However, in the game that mattered most, the Flyers came out on top 33-0.

Marion Local is currently on a 2-game winning streak, which they hope to continue on Saturday. Coming off of a 33-17 win against the Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds, they are 11-1 and their confidence continues to build as they finish up the year. The Flyers offense is the 7th-ranked offense in Division 6, scoring an average of 39.5 points per game over the course of the season. In their last 5 games, however, they've cooled off, averaging 33 points per game. While recent games have affected averages negatively, their defense is one of the best as well. They rank 8th in their division, giving up an average of 11 points per game.

Coldwater is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 3-game winning streak, including last week's 20-19 win against the St. Henry Redskins. That brings their record to 10-2 as they look to add another notch to the win column. While the Cavaliers offense has not been particularly great, ranked 31st in Division 6 with 31.5 points per game, they have improved in recent weeks, averaging 34.5 points over their last 2 contests. On the opposite side of the ball, they rank 30th in the division, allowing 17.9 points per game.

Prediction: Marion Local to win (79.54% chance of victory)
