Friday's matchup between the Woodridge Bulldogs and the Ravenna Ravens takes place between two teams that, as of now, most likely will not earn postseason bids. Currently, the Bulldogs and the Ravens are projected to finish 23rd and 12th in their respective regional playoff standings. Woodridge enters the week as a 3-point favorite and will look to expand their playoff chances with a victory on Friday. A major challenge on the schedule for both teams, this looks to be one of the more competitive games of the week. There is a certain degree of familiarity between the two teams after they faced off last season. Last year, the Ravens got the better of the Bulldogs, winning by a score of 27-24.

Woodridge looks to get back on track this week as they come in on a 3-game losing streak. They are currently 3-6 after a 49-10 loss against the Streetsboro Rockets last week. While the Bulldogs haven't been the most high-powered offense throughout the season, they have been improving week to week. In the last 6 weeks, they've averaged 23.5, up from their season average of 20.2, which ranks 77th in Division 3. Defensively, giving up 29.6 points per game, they rank 85th in the division.

Ravenna is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 2-game winning streak, including last week's 42-13 win against the Springfield Spartans. That brings their record to 7-2 as they look to add another notch to the win column. Scoring an average of 33.2 points per game on offense, the Ravens rank 25th in Division 3. They've been even more dominant in recent weeks, scoring an average of 39 over their last 2 games. While their offense is solid, the defense deserves equal credit for the season's successes. Their 15.6 points allowed per game ranks 23rd in the division and continues to get better week by week - in their last 2 games, they've given up just 6.5 points per game.

Prediction: Woodridge to win (94.52% chance of victory)
