The Talawanda Braves come into Friday projected to finish the season 7-3 at 11th in Region 8. They host the Ross Rams, who are currently expected to make the playoffs at 5th in Region 12. Ross have the edge on paper, entering the game as a 1-point favorite. However, the battle for a postseason bid can only be decided on the field. A major challenge on the schedule for both teams, this looks to be one of the more competitive games of the week. The teams are no strangers to one another, playing against each other in each of the last five years. Over their last 5 matchups, the Braves have been superior, coming out on top in 3 of them. However, the past won't matter come kickoff. In 2018's matchup, the Rams came away with a 18-7 victory.

Ross hopes to build off of last week's 63-12 win against the Thurgood Marshall Cougars and finish the season strong. Scoring an average of 33.3 points per game on offense, the Rams rank 24th in Division 3. They've been even more explosive in recent weeks, scoring an average of 42 over their last 2 games. Their defense gives up an average of 20.1 points per game, ranking 41st in their division.

For Talawanda, Friday is a chance to expand on a 3-game winning streak after their 42-12 win against the Northwest Knights brought their record to 7-2. The Braves offense will look to continue to improve as they've scored an average of 35 points per game over their last 2 games, up from their season average of 28.7, which ranks 36th in Division 2. Defensively, they haven't been the strongest either in terms of points allowed. They give up 19 points per game, ranking 25th in their division.

Prediction: Ross to win (61.75% chance of victory)
