Week 10 brings about a big game for both the Newcomerstown Trojans and the Ridgewood Generals as it could ultimately decide the postseason fate of either one. The Generals can currently expect to finish the season 2nd at 10-0. For the Trojans, postseason chances aren't quite as high as they are projected to finish 20th in Region 21. The Generals are the favorites on Friday, projected to win the game by a score of 40-12. The Generals rank 79th in the state while the Trojans rank 565th in the state and 79th in Division 6. The Generals will look to prove their superiority as they aim for a dominant showing on Friday. One of the more familiar matchups of week 10, both teams know what to expect. Ridgewood will hope to continue the recent trend, in which they've won 5 of the last 5 matchups. In last year's installment, the Generals came out on top by a score of 48-14.

Last week, Newcomerstown dropped a game 35-7 against the Garaway Pirates. They'll look to get in the win column this week as they hope to finish out the season on a positive note. While the Trojans haven't been the most high-powered offense throughout the season, they have been improving week to week. In the last 2 weeks, they've averaged 31, up from their season average of 22.8, which ranks 64th in Division 6. On the opposite side of the ball, they rank 29th in the division, allowing 18.4 points per game.

Ridgewood is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 9-game winning streak, including last week's 56-0 win against the Claymont Mustangs. That brings their record to 9-0 as they look to add another notch to the win column. The Generals score an average of 48.3 points per game, which ranks 5th in the state offensively. In recent weeks, they've scored at an even more impressive rate, an average of 52 points over their last 2 games. On defense, they've been just as strong. Allowing just 9.8 points per game over the course of the season, their defense ranks 3rd in their division. Over the last 2 weeks, they've been even more proficient, giving up just 3.5 points per game.

Prediction: Ridgewood to win (99.99% chance of victory)
