The Medina Bees enter week 3 as 2-point underdogs against the Wadsworth Grizzlies, who are projected to win the game by a score of 33 - 31. One of the closest games on the schedule for the week, this matchup could easily go either way. The Bees head into Friday ranked 63rd in the state and will travel to take on a fellow top-100 team as the Grizzlies come in ranked 42nd. With no definitive indication over who is truly the better team, each side will have to make its case on the field come Friday. One of the more familiar matchups of week 3, both teams know what to expect. Wadsworth will hope to continue the recent trend, in which they've won 3 of the last 5 matchups. In last year's installment, the Grizzlies came out on top by a score of 44 - 7.

Coming off of a 24 - 7 win against the Highland Hornets, the Bees will need to outperform expectations during the remainder of the regular season to earn a playoff spot. They are currently projected to finish 9th in the region with a record of 5-5. Thus far, they've been one of the best teams in their division on both sides of the ball. Their 33.5 points per game ranks 17th in Division 1 while their 13.5 points allowed per game ranks 18th.

After a playoff season in 2017, early indications are that their projected record of 8-2 may not be enough for Wadsworth to make the postseason in 2018. They come off of a 37 - 31 win against the Wooster Generals, which brings their current record to 2-0. Coming into the week, they are projected to finish 9th in the regional playoff standings. The Grizzlies offense is their more dominant side of the ball, where they rank 24th in the state with 50 points per game. On defense, ranked 203rd, they allow an average of 15.5 points per game.

Prediction: Wadsworth to win (62.95% chance of victory)
