One of the most competitive matchups of week 4 pits the Wheelersburg Pirates against the Bishop Watterson Eagles. The Pirates are projected to win by a score of 23 - 21 in what is essentially a toss-up game. Bishop Watterson enters the game as the 18th-ranked team in Division 3, which makes this a key matchup in the division as Wheelersburg comes in ranked 1st. A major challenge on the schedule for both teams, this looks to be one of the more competitive games of the week. Having matched up in 2017, there is a degree of familiarity between the two. Last season, the Pirates beat the Eagles 47 - 17.

Wheelersburg, after winning the Division 5 state championship in 2017, have kicked off the season 2-1. Coming off of a 48 - 0 win against the Heath Bulldogs, the Pirates are projected to finish 1st in the regional playoff standings with a record of 9-1. Offensively, they've been solid. Scoring an average of 32 points per game, their offense ranks 22nd in Division 5. On defense, giving up an average of 19 points per game, they rank 39th in the division.

For Bishop Watterson, while it is early in the season, playoffs would be a bit of a stretch. Projected to finish the regular season with a 5-5 record, they come into this week projected to finish 18th in the regional playoff standings. Neither side of the ball has been particularly strong for the Eagles. Their offense scores an average of 18.7 points per game and their defense allows an average of 25 points per game, ranking 67th and 60th in Division 3 respectively.

Prediction: Wheelersburg by 2 (70.99% chance of victory)
