Friday's road team, the Solon Comets are looking to continue what's looking like a run at the playoffs as they take on the Medina Bees. The Comets are already in good shape, projected to finish 2nd in the Region 1 playoff standings. On the other hand, the Bees are projected to finish 12th in Region 1, which would not earn them a playoff berth. Solon comes into the game as the favorite, projected to come away with a 29-19 victory. The Comets, one of the better teams statewide, come into the game ranked 46th. On the other hand, the Bees come in ranked 226th in the state and 46th in Division 1. Medina will be tested at home against a formidable Solon team. While the road team is expected to get the victory, overcoming homefield advantage could be a major challenge for Friday's favorite. Having matched up in 2017, there is a degree of familiarity between the two. Last season, the Bees beat the Comets 38-28.

Solon is currently on a 2-game winning streak, which they hope to continue on Friday. Coming off of a 20-7 win against the Shaker Heights Raiders, they are 8-1 and their confidence continues to build as they finish up the year. The Comets offense hasn't been particularly great this season in terms of point production, a trend which continues into recent weeks. Over their last 3 games, they've scored an average of 16.33 points - this season they've averaged 27.2, which ranks 26th in Division 1. Defensively, they haven't been the strongest either in terms of points allowed. They give up 13 points per game, ranking 8th in their division.

For Medina, Friday is a chance to expand on a 2-game winning streak after their 20-7 win against the Brunswick Blue Devils brought their record to 4-5. While the Bees haven't been the most high-powered offense throughout the season, they have been improving week to week. In the last 2 weeks, they've averaged 35.5, up from their season average of 22.9, which ranks 40th in Division 1. They've played at a simiar level on defense, ranking 53rd in their division, giving up 24.3 points per game. Over their last 2 games, however, they have made progress, giving up an average of 7 points per game.

Prediction: Solon to win (95.78% chance of victory)
