The first round matchup between the Wadsworth Grizzlies and the Wooster Generals should be one of the more exciting matchups of the week. The Grizzlies come into the week projected to win by a score of 36-26. The playoffs are the best time of the year but also come with a great deal of drama as many powerhouses will even see their seasons cut short. Each week, it's do or die and, after this week is complete, half of the current playoff teams will be eliminated. The Generals rank 26th in the division while the Grizzlies rank 6th. This is a chance for the Generals to avenge a loss from earlier on in the regular season, when the Grizzlies beat them 37-31. They also played last season, a matchup in which the Grizzlies got the better of the Generals, winning by a score of 47-0.

Looking to build upon their 7-game winning streak, Wooster comes into the week at 8-2. After their 38-6 win against the Ashland Arrows, they are confident in their ability to finish strong. Scoring an average of 37.2 points per game on offense, the Generals rank 16th in Division 2. They've been even more explosive in recent weeks, scoring an average of 41 over their last 2 games. Their defense ranks 31st in their division giving up an average of 18.9 points per game, but they've been improving with each game - over the last 3 weeks, they've allowed an average of 8.33 points.

Wadsworth is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 10-game winning streak, including last week's 35-13 win against the Hudson Explorers. That brings their record to 10-0 as they look to add another notch to the win column. In recent weeks, the Grizzlies haven't been quite as explosive on offense but they remain the 8th-ranked offense in Division 2, scoring an average of 40.9 points per game. While their offense is solid, the defense deserves equal credit for the season's successes. Their 11.8 points allowed per game ranks 12th in the division and continues to get better week by week - in their last 3 games, they've given up just 4.33 points per game.

Prediction: Wadsworth to win (99.42% chance of victory)
