For the East Clinton Astros and the Hillsboro Indians, week 3 is a chance to edge out a victory over an evenly matched opponent. The Astros come into Friday as 7-point favorites, but the Indians will also step on the field expecting to come away with the win. This looks to be a close and exciting game, which will be fun at least for the team that comes out on top. One of the more familiar matchups of week 3, both teams know what to expect. Hillsboro will hope to continue the recent trend, in which they've won 4 of the last 5 matchups. In the most recent season's matchup, the Indians proved superior, winning 49-0.

Hillsboro is towards the bottom of the pack in terms of playoff probability. However, with a win this week, they hope to turn the tables and prove themselves capable of surpassing their projected record for the season of 2-8. They could use some improvement on both sides of the ball - on offense, they rank 85th in Division 4 with 11.5 points per game; on defense, they give up 21 points per game, which ranks 50th.

East Clinton comes into the week looking to improve their position in the standings. It is early in the season but, coming into Friday's game 1-1, they are projected to finish the season ranked 17th in the regional playoff standings. The Astros have struggled thus far on each side of the ball. Scoring 18.5 points per game, they rank 73rd in Division 5. Defensively, giving up 33 points per game, ranks 78th in the division.

Prediction: East Clinton to win (83.88% chance of victory)
