In a week 7 matchup with major playoff implications, the McKinley Bulldogs go on the road to face off against the Jackson Polar Bears. The Bulldogs enter the game projected to finish 3rd in Region 1 at 8-2. The Polar Bears come in projected to finish 8th in Region 1 at 7-3 The Bulldogs come into the game as 1-point favorites and expect to take home the victory and ultimately complete their pursuit of the postseason. The Bulldogs head into Friday ranked 44th in the state and will travel to take on a fellow top-100 team as the Polar Bears come in ranked 87th. As slight road favorites, the Bulldogs come in hoping to edge out the Polar Bears on their home field. The teams have played each other in each of the last five years so neither is likely to surprise the other. Over their last 5 matchups, the Bulldogs have won 5, a trend they hope to continue. In the most recent season's matchup, the Bulldogs proved superior, winning 49-28.

McKinley is currently on a 3-game winning streak, which they hope to continue on Friday. Coming off of a 20-19 win against the Lake Blue Streaks, they are 5-1 and their confidence continues to build as they finish up the year. They're a high-powered offense, scoring an average of 38.7 points per game, ranking 5th in Division 1. Their defense gives up an average of 25.5 points per game, which ranks 43rd in the division.
