As the playoff picture begins to take shape for the Archbishop Alter Knights and the Bishop Fenwick Falcons, they come up on an important matchup against one another in week 7. The Knights are confident that how they finish the season will be enough to bring them to the playoffs - they come into the game projected to finish 8th in the Region 12 playoff standings. For the Falcons, chances aren't looking quite as good as they're projected to finish 11th in Region 12. The Knights will come in as the favorites, projected to win the game 24-18. Bishop Fenwick enters the game as the 20th-ranked team in Division 3, which makes this a key matchup in the division as Archbishop Alter comes in ranked 1st. With two teams coming in expecting the win, we won't know for sure who's the better team until they take the field on Friday. The teams are no strangers to one another, playing against each other in each of the last five years. Over their last 5 matchups, the Knights have been superior, coming out on top in 4 of them. However, the past won't matter come kickoff. In 2018's matchup, the Knights came away with a 45-20 victory.

Archbishop Alter comes off of a 42-7 loss against the Badin Rams and will look to rebound this week as they hope to finish out the season strong. The strength of the team comes on defense, where they give up 14 points per game, good for 19th in Division 3. Their offense ranks 63rd in the division with 23.5 points per game.

After a 13-7 win against the McNicholas Rockets brought their record to 3-3, Bishop Fenwick will be looking to carry that momentum over and earn another victory. Neither side of the ball has been particularly strong for the Falcons. Their offense scores an average of 25.5 points per game and their defense allows an average of 23 points per game, ranking 55th and 65th in Division 3 respectively.

Prediction: Archbishop Alter to win (92.60% chance of victory)
