The first round matchup between the Oak Harbor Rockets and the Beachwood Bisons should be one of the more exciting matchups of the week. The Rockets come into the week projected to win by a score of 34-22. The playoffs are an interesting time of year as 7 teams fulfill their most ambitious goal in winning a state championship while the other 217 playoff teams will end their season with a loss. This matchup is no different as the winner will continue their playoff run while the loser will end its 2019 season with a loss. Beachwood comes in as Division 5's 34th-ranked team. Oak Harbor comes in ranked 5th. A new game on the schedule for both teams, it should shape out as an unpredictable affair. Strategically, this might lead to complications that could throw off the gameplan of either team.

Looking to build upon their 2-game winning streak, Beachwood comes into the week at 8-2. After their 63-13 win against the Hawken Hawks, they are confident in their ability to finish strong. Scoring an average of 36.6 points per game on offense, the Bisons rank 19th in Division 5. They've been even more explosive in recent weeks, scoring an average of 53 over their last 2 games. Their defense ranks 30th in their division giving up an average of 19.1 points per game, but they've been improving with each game - over the last 2 weeks, they've allowed an average of 13 points.

Oak Harbor is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 10-game winning streak, including last week's 48-8 win against the Port Clinton Redskins. That brings their record to 10-0 as they look to add another notch to the win column. The Rockets have been one of the most prolific offenses in the state and even stronger in their most recent contests. Scoring an average of 46 points per game, their offense ranks 12th in the state. Over their last 2 games, they've been even more impressive, scoring an average of 53 points per game. While recent games have affected averages negatively, their defense is one of the best as well. They rank 6th in their division, giving up an average of 11.1 points per game.

Prediction: Oak Harbor to win (99.46% chance of victory)
