In the first playoff matchup of the year for the Aurora Greenmen, they are projected to come away with a 30-19 win over the Steubenville Big Red. However, it should be one of the more hotly contested matchups of the round and all statistical predictions could easily go out the window. The playoffs are the best time of the year but also come with a great deal of drama as many powerhouses will even see their seasons cut short. Each week, it's do or die and, after this week is complete, half of the current playoff teams will be eliminated. The Big Red, one of the top teams in Division 3, come into the game ranked 7th. The Greenmen come in ranked 3rd. The teams did not appear on each other's schedules last season, which presents a degree of unpredictability. Strategically, this might lead to complications that could throw off the gameplan of either team.

Steubenville hopes to build off of last week's 48-28 win against the Linsly Cadets and finish the season strong. The Big Red offense is the 7th-ranked offense in Division 3, scoring an average of 37.6 points per game over the course of the season. In their last 2 games, however, they've cooled off, averaging 33 points per game. On defense, they rank 73rd in their division, giving up an average of 26.7 points per game.

Aurora will look to continue the momentum of their 10-game winning streak, the most recent addition to which was a 42-0 win against the Copley Indians last week, bringing their record to 10-0. Scoring an average of 33.4 points per game on offense, the Greenmen rank 25th in Division 3. They've been even more dominant in recent weeks, scoring an average of 45 over their last 2 games. While their offense is solid, the defense deserves equal credit for the season's successes. Their 4.7 points allowed per game ranks 1st in the division and continues to get better week by week - in their last 2 games, they've given up just 3.5 points per game.

Prediction: Aurora to win (90.05% chance of victory)
