The postseason is in full force and the Chardon Hilltoppers enter their second round matchup against the Streetsboro Rockets projected to win by a score of 34-22. The playoffs are an interesting time of year as 7 teams fulfill their most ambitious goal in winning a state championship while the other 217 playoff teams will end their season with a loss. This matchup is no different as the winner will continue their playoff run while the loser will end its 2019 season with a loss. Chardon comes in as Division 3's 10th-ranked team. Streetsboro comes in ranked 26th. A new game on the schedule for both teams, it should shape out as an unpredictable affair. Strategically, this might lead to complications that could throw off the gameplan of either team.

Looking to build upon their 6-game winning streak, Chardon comes into the week at 9-2. After their 28-14 win against the Dover Tornadoes, they are confident in their ability to finish strong. While the Hilltoppers offense has not been particularly great, ranked 40th in Division 3 with 29.3 points per game, they have improved in recent weeks, averaging 37.5 points over their last 2 contests. Their defense hasn't been much better throughout the course of the season, ranking 10th with an average of 12.1 points allowed per game. In recent weeks, they have improved, giving up an average of 6 points over their last 4 games.

For Streetsboro, Saturday is a chance to expand on a 11-game winning streak after their 21-14 win against the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish brought their record to 11-0. The Rockets are consistently explosive on offense, ranking 18th with 43.9. However, they have come back towards earth lately, averaging 31 points per game over the last 2 weeks. Nevertheless, the defense could actually be the true strength of the team, which they've shown in their most recent contests. Over the last 6 games, they've allowed only 6.17 points per game. However, success on defense isn't just a recent trend - on the season, their defense ranks 9th in their division, allowing 11.8 points per game.

Prediction: Chardon to win (70.25% chance of victory)
