The postseason has arrived and the Clear Fork Colts enter their first round matchup against the Bryan Golden Bears projected to win by a score of 30-21. The playoffs are the best time of the year but also come with a great deal of drama as many powerhouses will even see their seasons cut short. Each week, it's do or die and, after this week is complete, half of the current playoff teams will be eliminated. The Golden Bears rank 34th in the division while the Colts rank 6th. The teams did not appear on each other's schedules last season, which presents a degree of unpredictability. Stylistically and schematically, past matchups are often used as a guiding tool. This week, however, each team will likely take time to adjust to an unfamiliar opponent, which should make for some added excitement.

After their 41-7 win against the Evergreen Vikings last week, Bryan is 7-3 and looks to finish the season strong. The Golden Bears offense hasn't been particularly great this season in terms of point production, a trend which continues into recent weeks. Over their last 3 games, they've scored an average of 22.67 points - this season they've averaged 25.7, which ranks 46th in Division 4. On defense, they haven't been any better statistically, ranking 25th in their division, allowing 16.9 points per game.

Clear Fork will look to continue the momentum of their 10-game winning streak, the most recent addition to which was a 48-14 win against the Marion Harding Presidents last week, bringing their record to 10-0. On offense, the Colts have been one of the best in the state this season, ranking 10th with 47.3 points per game. Recent weeks haven't been quite as explosive as they've averaged 32 points per game but they remain one of the most explosive offenses statewide. On defense, their last few weeks haven't even done justice to how good they've been all season. They've given up 19.25 points per game over their last 4, down from their average of 11.9, which ranks 8th in their division on the season.

Prediction: Clear Fork to win (99.65% chance of victory)
