Friday's matchup between the Lorain Titans and the Scott Bulldogs has the potential to get out of hand rather quickly. The Titans are projected to win by a score of 50-7 so the Bulldogs will need to elevate their game considerably to give themselves a chance. While the Titans look forward to a potentially dominant home victory, the Bulldogs come in looking for the huge upset. A new matchup on the schedule for each team, Friday's game is a chance for each to test its skills and strategies against an unfamiliar opponent. Usually, matchups from the previous year are used in developing a strategy for upcoming games. For these two, no such opportunity will be afforded.

Scott, projected to finish the season at 2-8, will get a chance to show improvement on Friday. Still relatively early in the season, there are plenty of opportunities remaining to put wins together. Thus far, they haven't been particularly strong in terms of scoring on either side of the ball. Their offense ranks 73rd in Division 4, scoring an average of 17.5 points per game. On defense, giving up 47.8 points per game, they rank 102nd in the division.

Lorain has not shown any indication that the year will end any differently than last year. Finishing with a 6-4 record in 2018, they failed to make the playoffs. After a 1-3 start, including last week's 32-22 loss against the Clarkson Football North, they are projected to finish the season 12th in the regional playoff standings. Neither side of the ball has been particularly strong for the Titans. Their offense scores an average of 20.5 points per game and their defense allows an average of 30.8 points per game, ranking 47th and 52nd in Division 1 respectively.

Prediction: Lorain to win (99.91% chance of victory)
