In a week 7 matchup with major playoff implications, the Clyde Fliers go on the road to face off against the Columbian Tornadoes. The Fliers enter the game projected to finish 1st in Region 14 at 9-1. The Tornadoes come in projected to finish 7th in Region 10 at 7-3 The Fliers come into the game as 5-point favorites and expect to take home the victory and ultimately complete their pursuit of the postseason. Columbian enters the game as the 22nd-ranked team in Division 3, which makes this a key matchup in the division as Clyde comes in ranked 6th. With two teams coming in expecting the win, we won't know for sure who's the better team until they take the field on Friday. The teams are no strangers to one another, playing against each other in each of the last five years. Over their last 5 matchups, the Fliers have been superior, coming out on top in 5 of them. However, the past won't matter come kickoff. In 2018's matchup, the Fliers came away with a 24-21 victory.

Clyde comes into the game on a 5-game winning streak. After last week's 38-7 win against the Perkins Pirates, they are 5-1 and look to continue the positive momentum. They've been proficient thus far on both sides of the ball. Their offense ranks 6th in Division 4, scoring an average of 37.3 points per game. Their defense, giving up just 13.8 points per game, ranks 15th in the division.

Columbian looks to rebound after a 33-26 loss against the Sandusky Blue Streaks last week, which brought their record to 5-1. They're solid on both sides of the ball in terms of scoring. Their offense ranks 15th in Division 3, averaging 37.2 points per game. On defense, they rank 6th in the division, allowing an average of 8.8 points per game.

Prediction: Clyde to win (55.88% chance of victory)
