Week 10 brings about a big game for both the Central Crossing Comets and the Marysville Monarchs as it could ultimately decide the postseason fate of either one. The Monarchs can currently expect to finish the season 8th at 6-4. For the Comets, postseason chances aren't quite as high as they are projected to finish 14th in Region 3. The Monarchs are the favorites on Friday, projected to win the game by a score of 26-20. Statistics and rankings aside, this one's completely up in the air and will likely go to whichever team plays at its highest level. The teams have played each other in each of the last five years so neither is likely to surprise the other. Over their last 5 matchups, the Monarchs have won 3, a trend they hope to continue. In 2018's matchup, the Monarchs came away with a 36-6 victory.

Last week, Central Crossing dropped a game 35-14 against the Upper Arlington Golden Bears. They'll look to get in the win column this week as they hope to finish out the season on a positive note. The Comets have struggled on offense, scoring only 9.5 points per game over their last 4 games. On the year, they rank 65th in Division 1, scoring an average of 14.4 points per game over the course of the season. Defensively, giving up 22.3 points per game, they rank 38th in the division.

For Marysville, this week is a chance to flip the momentum after 2 consecutive losses. Last week was a 23-14 loss against the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats and they'll look to rebound strong on Friday. The Monarchs have struggled on offense, scoring only 10 points per game over their last 2 games. On the year, they rank 34th in Division 1, scoring an average of 25.7 points per game over the course of the season. The defense hasn't been much better statistically, giving up an average of 13.7 points per game, which ranks 12th in their division.

Prediction: Marysville to win (93.62% chance of victory)
