Friday's road team, the New Philadelphia Quakers are looking to continue what's looking like a run at the playoffs as they take on the Dover Tornadoes. The Quakers are already in good shape, projected to finish 1st in the Region 9 playoff standings. On the other hand, the Tornadoes are projected to finish 9th in Region 9, which would not earn them a playoff berth. New Philadelphia comes into the game as the favorite, projected to come away with a 32-25 victory. The Quakers, one of the better teams statewide, come into the game ranked 56th. On the other hand, the Tornadoes come in ranked 130th in the state and 29th in Division 3. With two teams coming in expecting the win, we won't know for sure who's the better team until they take the field on Friday. The teams have played each other in each of the last five years so neither is likely to surprise the other. Over their last 5 matchups, the Tornadoes have won 3, a trend they hope to continue. In the most recent season's matchup, the Tornadoes proved superior, winning 35-0.

New Philadelphia is currently on a 9-game winning streak, which they hope to continue on Friday. Coming off of a 48-21 win against the Zanesville Blue Devils, they are 9-0 and their confidence continues to build as they finish up the year. The Quakers have boasted one of Division 3's best offenses all season, averaging 42.6 points per game, which ranks 3rd. In their last 3 games, they've been even better, scoring 51 points per game. While recent games have affected averages negatively, their defense is one of the best as well. They rank 9th in their division, giving up an average of 10.3 points per game.

For Dover, Friday is a chance to expand on a 2-game winning streak after their 42-6 win against the Marietta Tigers brought their record to 6-3. Scoring an average of 34.7 points per game on offense, the Tornadoes rank 18th in Division 3. They've been even more dominant in recent weeks, scoring an average of 39.4 over their last 5 games. Their defense gives up an average of 23.2 points per game, which ranks 54th in their division - in their last 2 games, they've improved, giving up an average of 13.5 points.

Prediction: New Philadelphia to win (66.88% chance of victory)
