One of the most highly anticipated matchups of the first round comes between the Springboro Panthers and the Dublin Jerome Celtics, the Panthers projected to win by a score of 28-23. The playoffs are the best time of the year but also come with a great deal of drama as many powerhouses will even see their seasons cut short. Each week, it's do or die and, after this week is complete, half of the current playoff teams will be eliminated. Springboro comes in as Division 1's 18th-ranked team. Dublin Jerome comes in ranked 25th. A new game on the schedule for both teams, it should shape out as an unpredictable affair. Strategically, this might lead to complications that could throw off the gameplan of either team.

Looking to build upon their 3-game winning streak, Springboro comes into the week at 9-1. After their 37-6 win against the Centerville Elks, they are confident in their ability to finish strong. The Panthers rank 9th in Division 1 on offense, scoring an average of 34.7. However, over the last 5 weeks, their average is down to 28.8 points per game. While their defense has given up more points than usual in recent weeks, they deserve every bit as much of the credit for this season's successes as the offense. Over the course of the season, they've given up an average of 12.6 points per game, which ranks 11th in their division.

Dublin Jerome is no stranger to winning recently as they come off of a 3-game winning streak, including last week's 56-0 win against the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves. That brings their record to 8-2 as they look to add another notch to the win column. The Celtics offense is one of the most high-powered in their division, particularly in recent weeks. For the year, they rank 22nd in Division 1 with 30.4 points per game. Over the last 3 weeks, they've scored an average of 30.4. While their offense is solid, the defense deserves equal credit for the season's successes. Their 13.3 points allowed per game ranks 13th in the division and continues to get better week by week - in their last 2 games, they've given up just 10 points per game.

Prediction: Springboro to win (55.98% chance of victory)
