The second round matchup between the Edgerton Bulldogs and the Leipsic Vikings should be one of the more exciting matchups of the week. The Bulldogs come into the week projected to win by a score of 34-26. It's do or die for each team as always in the postseason. Regardless of the outcome, each team can take comfort in the fact that they had a successful enough season to get here, but only one team will be satisfied with the result as the other's season will end on a loss. The Bulldogs, one of the top teams in Division 7, come into the game ranked 6th. The Vikings come in ranked 13th. A new matchup on the schedule for each team, Sunday's game is a chance for each to test its skills and strategies against an unfamiliar opponent. Usually, matchups from the previous year are used in developing a strategy for upcoming games. For these two, no such opportunity will be afforded.

Edgerton is currently on a 4-game winning streak, which they hope to continue on Sunday. Coming off of a 44-21 win against the McComb Panthers, they are 9-2 and their confidence continues to build as they finish up the year. The Bulldogs offense has been one of the best in the division, especially in recent weeks. For the year, they rank 4th in Division 7 with 39.7 points per game. Over the last 3 weeks, they've scored an average of 39.7. While recent games have affected averages negatively, their defense is one of the best as well. They rank 14th in their division, giving up an average of 16.3 points per game.

For Leipsic, Sunday is a chance to expand on a 3-game winning streak after their 30-8 win against the Mohawk Warriors brought their record to 10-1. In recent weeks, the Vikings haven't been quite as explosive on offense but they remain the 12th-ranked offense in Division 7, scoring an average of 34.4 points per game. While their offense is solid, the defense deserves equal credit for the season's successes. Their 15.3 points allowed per game ranks 11th in the division and continues to get better week by week - in their last 2 games, they've given up just 7.5 points per game.

Prediction: Edgerton to win (55.49% chance of victory)
